Arizona Horse Rides is located south of Phoenix off the John Wayne Hwy, next to the Ak Chin Indian Reservation.
Owner, Deborah Baines, born in Sitka, Alaska, spent much of her childhood years in Arizona riding horses. She has been involved with horses ever since—raising and training her own horses, participating in the local junior rodeos, barrel racing clubs, trail riding clubs, running a horse program for handicapped children, and operating a carriage ride and hay ride business. Deborah has also assisted in transporting hunters via horseback into the backcountry of Alaska.
Manager, Peggy Linnan, has always loved horses and the bond one can build with them, more importantly, she enjoys sharing her passion of horses with customers, providing customers a safe and memorable experience. Peggy’s degree in Human Services, along with her years of experience in the hotel and retail industries, experience as Director of Counselor in a children’s camp program, couple with 40+ years of trail riding and five years as a trail guide in Alaska make her a valuable asset to Arizona Horse Rides.
Deborah and Peggy have combined their horse expertise, experience in the backcountry and with children’s programs, to bring you safe, reliable rides through the scenic desert. Our trail horses are experienced with some of them purchased from horse rescue programs.
